Four weeks from confusion to a clear plan
We do not sell twelve-month retainers up front. Every engagement starts with a fixed four-week diagnostic so you can see results before committing further.
Week one: listen and map
We spend three days inside your business. We interview staff at every level, review your P&L in detail, and map how decisions actually get made (not how the org chart says they do). By Friday you receive a written summary of what we heard, unfiltered.
Week two: diagnose
We compare what your team told us against the financial data. Where do the stories conflict? That gap is usually where the drag lives. We identify two or three root causes and test them against your last eight quarters of performance data.
Week three: design options
You receive a short document (never more than fifteen pages) with concrete options. Each option includes estimated cost, timeline, who needs to be involved, and what changes in the first ninety days. No theory. No frameworks borrowed from textbooks.
Week four: decide together
We sit with your leadership team and walk through the options. We challenge assumptions, yours and ours. By the end of that session you have a decision and a ninety-day implementation calendar. If you want us to stay and help execute, we can discuss that. If not, you have everything you need to move on your own.
What we actually do
We focus on mid-sized firms (£2m to £40m revenue) where the founder or MD is still close enough to operations to act quickly on good advice.
Revenue and margin analysis
We pull apart your revenue streams to find which products, clients, or channels actually make money after fully loaded costs. Most firms discover that 20 to 30 per cent of their revenue is break-even or loss-making once you allocate overhead properly.
Leadership and team structure
Growing companies often outgrow their original structure without noticing. We help you redesign reporting lines, hire for the right roles (not just the urgent ones), and build a management layer that can run the business when you step back.
Operational efficiency
We map your core processes from order to delivery. Where are the bottlenecks? Where does work sit waiting for approval? A manufacturing client in Swansea cut their average order-to-dispatch time from nine days to four after we redesigned their scheduling workflow.
Growth planning and M&A readiness
Thinking about acquiring a competitor, or preparing your firm for sale? We build financial models, run due diligence checklists, and coach your team through the process. We have supported seven transactions in the last three years, ranging from £1.5m to £18m in deal value.
Common questions
Honest answers to the things people usually ask before they pick up the phone.
Between £6,000 and £12,000 depending on the size and complexity of your business. We quote a fixed fee before we start, so there are no surprises. Travel expenses within Wales are included; for engagements elsewhere in the UK we add actual travel costs at face value.
Rarely. Our methods are built for businesses that already have revenue, customers, and staff. If you are pre-revenue, a mentor or accelerator programme will serve you better than a consulting engagement at this stage.
We have deep experience in manufacturing, professional services, and distribution. We have also worked with hospitality groups, construction firms, and agricultural supply businesses. The common thread is owner-managed or family-run firms where decisions can be made quickly once the direction is clear.
Yes. That is the point. You are paying for an outside perspective that your internal team cannot give you, either because they lack the data or because the politics make honesty risky. We present findings with evidence, not opinion, so the conversation stays productive.
Only if we have done the diagnostic first, or if you can show us a recent, thorough analysis from another credible firm. We will not execute a plan we have not validated, because implementing the wrong strategy faster just creates bigger problems.
